customizable and ready-made experiences to increase trust, presence, and performance in sport
Pre: Embodied Presence
What does it really mean to be “in your head”? Oftentimes, you’re either holding onto the past or grasping for the future - and unintentionally avoiding the present. In sport, trusting your body’s instincts in the present moment can make or break the game. This pre-game ritual brings the athlete into their present body, creating space to decrease performance anxiety and increase readiness. As a team, athletes will somatically visualize a clear goal, connect to their body’s real-time signals, and practice embodying a regulated “yes”.
This session can be used during pre-game time, and be facilitated for 15 to 60 minutes.
Mid: Embodied Trust
The energy of a team or game changes quickly. Momentum can shift from a single emotion, mistake, or success. And while game time’s primary focus is to win, teams can intentionally influence how they are trusting each other in the moment. This session dynamically engages teams in a simulated mid-game scenario where they practice listening and responding to their body’s signals, and intentionally shift the vibe of the team to collectively increase trust while the pressure is high. Athletes will deepen their understanding of themselves, each other, and creatively learn how to influence the energy of the game together.
This session can be used during practice time, and be facilitated for 30 to 60 minutes.
Post: Embodied Wisdom
Sometimes our biggest downloads come right after the game, and yet we can often be so distracted by the details of the team’s gameplay that we miss what’s being communicated in the present moment. This session meets with teams immediately after the game to move from mind to embodied reflection and leave with clarity on what’s next for practice, and individual or team performance. Athletes will be guided through movement based practices to track their body’s post-game wisdom and build genuine accountability.
This session can be used during post-game, and be facilitated for 15 to 60 minutes.
